Researchers from the National Institute of Research and Innovation (ex. Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis) were proud to present two posters at the 7th Instruct Biennial Structural Biology Conference in Brussels, a premier international event showcasing the latest advances in integrative structural biology.
This year's conference theme, "From Structure to New Molecules," brought together leading scientists from around the world to discuss cutting-edge developments in structural biology through keynote lectures, poster sessions, and scientific networking.
Our MR LATVIA Team presented research included:

🔬 Structural and Dynamic NMR Characterization of a VLP α-synuclein Conjugate in Vaccine Prototypes
Presented by Jana Petkus and collaborators, highlighting the application of advanced NMR techniques to characterize vaccine prototype systems.

🔬 Characterization of Candida auris Cell Wall Architecture under Caspofungin Stress Using Solid-State NMR and TEM
Presented by Alvis Zvirgzdiņš and colleagues, providing new insights into the structural adaptations of the emerging fungal pathogen Candida auris under antifungal treatment.
Participating in IBSBC 2026 was an excellent opportunity to share our latest findings, exchange knowledge with the international scientific community, and establish new collaborations that will help advance research in structural biology and related fields.

We thank the organizers, speakers for an inspiring event and look forward to future scientific exchanges.
