Enrico Ravera Seminar

We are pleased to invite you to the scientific seminar “Metalloproteins and Interactions Studied by NMR”, presented by Dr. Enrico Ravera (CERM/CIRMMP Infrastructure, Florence, Italy).

📅 Date: February 4, 2026
📍 Venue: On-site at LIOS — 4th Floor, Small Hall
🕙 Time: 10:00–11:00 EET

The seminar will highlight contemporary methodological developments in magnetic resonance applied to metal-containing biomolecules. Special emphasis will be placed on the structural and dynamical characterization of paramagnetic centers and their interaction networks, illustrating how advanced NMR approaches provide mechanistic insight into complex biological systems.

About the Speaker
Prof. Enrico Ravera is an Italian chemist working at the interface of advanced magnetic resonance and structural biology. His research spans solution and solid-state NMR of paramagnetic systems, EPR spectroscopy, and integrative approaches to biomolecular structure and dynamics. He currently serves as Associate Professor at the University of Florence and has been recognized with several national and international distinctions.

The sebinar is supported by the MR LATVIA project (Development of Magnetic Resonance in Latvia) in collaboration with:

* Centre de RMN à très hauts champs de Lyon (CRMN), France

* CERM/CIRMMP Infrastructure, Florence, Italy

* Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis (LIOS), Riga, Latvia

Funded by the HORIZON-WIDERA-2023-ACCESS-02 programme, this initiative aims to strengthen research capacities and scientific excellence across Europe.
