Following the MR LATVIA Kick-off Meeting on 16 September 2024, a dedicated Scientific Meeting was convened to facilitate scientific dialogue among researchers from partner institutions, including CNRS-CRMN and the CERM/CIRMMP Infrastructure scientific staff.
The meeting provided a structured forum for discussing the project’s planned scientific activities, with particular emphasis on enhancing excellence in NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) methodologies, research applications, and infrastructure development. The programme comprised three scientific presentations:
- “NMR possibilities and challenges from the LIOS perspective, Riga (Latvia)” - presented by Rihards Aleksis
- “NMR opportunities at CNRS-CRMN, Lyon (France)” - presented by Guido Pintacuda
- “NMR opportunities at CERM/CIRMMP Infrastructure, Florence (Italy)” - presented by Isabella Caterina Felli
These contributions highlighted existing NMR capabilities, outlined prospective technological and methodological advancements, and identified avenues for research collaboration and capacity building within the consortium.
The discussions reaffirmed the strategic importance of coordinated efforts to strengthen NMR research, training, and infrastructure at the European level, thereby contributing to the project’s overarching objective of elevating scientific excellence.
The event is supported by the MRLATVIA project (Development of Magnetic Resonance in Latvia), conducted in collaboration with:
Centre de RMN à très hauts champs de Lyon (CRMN), France
CERM/CIRMMP Infrastructure , Florence, Italy
Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis, Riga, Latvia
Funded by the HORIZON-WIDERA-2023-ACCESS-02 programme, this initiative aims to strengthen research capacities and scientific excellence across Europe.
